Man Says He Noticed a Car Sitting Outside His House Every Night — Then One Night It Followed Him
A man on Reddit said he first noticed the car because it didn’t fit. It was parked across the street from his house, engine off, same spot, night after night. At first, he figured it was a neighbor or someone visiting nearby. But after a week of seeing it there at nearly the same time every evening, he started paying closer attention.
According to his post, the car never stayed during the day. It would show up late, sit there for hours, and then be gone by morning. He said he couldn’t see much through the windows, but he was almost certain someone was inside.
He tried to ignore it, but the pattern kept repeating.
One night, he decided to test it.
He said he got into his car and drove around the block a couple of times. The parked car didn’t move at first. But when he headed out onto the main road, he noticed headlights pull out behind him.
That’s when things changed.
He said the car followed him through several turns. Nothing aggressive at first—just staying behind him, matching his speed. He turned again, then again, and the car stayed with him. At that point, he said he was sure it wasn’t a coincidence.
He didn’t go home.
Instead, he drove toward a more populated area. He said he pulled into a well-lit parking lot near a store, hoping the car would keep going. It didn’t. It slowed down, circled once, and then parked a short distance away.
He stayed in his car.
After a few minutes, he said the other driver got out. He couldn’t see the person clearly, but he said they started walking in his direction before stopping midway and turning back.
That was enough.
He said he drove off again, this time heading toward a police station he knew was nearby. When he turned into the lot, the car behind him didn’t follow.
Over the next few nights, he said the car didn’t show up again.
But the situation didn’t sit right with him. He said he started checking around his house more carefully, making sure everything was locked and paying attention to anything out of place. He also told a few neighbors, and one of them mentioned seeing a similar car in the area before.
He never got a clear answer about who it was or why they had been there.
By the end of his post, he said the part that stuck with him wasn’t just being followed—it was realizing how long the car had been sitting outside before he decided to test it. What felt like a small, strange detail turned into something he couldn’t fully explain, and the fact that it stopped as suddenly as it started only made it feel more unsettling.
